For the last week, Bollywood’s ‘It’ pair has been driving the media into a frenzy as the news of their approaching weddings has generated a buzz across B-Town. While the couple and their family members have been tight-lipped about disclosing any facts, a few have made their way to us!
Initially, it was expected that the young couple would marry at the renowned Kapoor family house in Chembur, Mumbai, which has been in the Kapoor family for decades. This vast mansion, loaded with precious antiquities and presently maintained by 15 personnel, was meticulously kept by Krishna Raj Kapoor and is also where Ranbir’s elder cousin sister, Bollywood actress Karishma Kapoor, married. However, it is now being reported that the private wedding would take place in Ranbir’s own flat in the Vastu building in Mumbai’s upscale Pali Hill district. According to reports, the actor’s Vastu flat is also conveniently adjacent to his mother’s house!
Celebrity wedding planners Shaadi Squad, who have worked on the nuptials of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, and Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal, among many others, were supposed to design the much-anticipated bash. According to insiders, the couple may not be working with an Event Management Company. Instead, all of the festivities are scheduled to be created and conceptualised by Alia and her mother’s close friend who specialises in custom gifts and home décor. The majority of the other details are expected to be handled by vendors and artists who have previously worked with Neetu Kapoor and the Kapoor family, such as a popular Bandra eatery known for its street foods, a celebrated choreographer who previously worked with Kareena and Karishma Kapoor for their weddings, and B-favorite Town’s designer Manish Malhotra.
Amid widespread speculation that the wedding will be held at RK Studio, the best of Mumbai’s premium hotels are believed to be wooing the couple for the honour of hosting their Reception, including the Grand Hyatt Kalina, JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, and one of the Taj hotels. Kareena Kapoor’s wedding to Saif Ali Khan at The Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai was the most recent big event in the Kapoor family. Armaan Jain’s wedding in 2020, as the first cousin of Ranbir, Kareena, and Karishma, made headlines once more, with festivities taking place at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai and The St. Regis Mumbai.
