North Star 2 2022

The best small electric car. A good electric car is more than the sum of its parts. The Polestar 2 doesn’t have the best performance in its segment, but it’s an easy to like and overall great car.

We love the Polestar 2 for many reasons. It is quite fast in its twin engine configuration, and regardless of the number of engines, it is 2 sets to drive. The style is beautiful inside and out. There’s also a lot of technology, including Google’s infotainment system, which is perfect for our pets. It may not have the longest range in the segment, but it is desirable in many other ways.

Mini Cooper SE 2022

Nomination for the best small electric car. Mini may be new to the EV game, but the brand’s first effort is excellent. Overall it’s not superfluous, it’s surprisingly good value, it’s fun to drive and it’s great to sit on. And we love those lightweight electric wheels.

The Mini SE can go only 110 miles on a single charge, but with 181 horsepower and boat load of power in a compact package, that’s 110 miles of fun. The good news is that with a 50kW fast charger you can achieve 80% charge in about half an hour.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 2022

The best mid-size electric car. We’ve been waiting a long time to get our hands on the Hyundai Ioniq 5, and now that we’ve spent some quality time with it, we can’t wait to try it out. The Ioniq 5 is a medium-sized electric car. Don’t let its small appearance in photos shake your opinion about its size. Thanks to Hyundai’s exclusive E-GMP EV platform that supports the Kia EV6, the Ioniq 5 is a more comfortable cruiser than other EVs, with long range and good looks. A digital key is standard, as are four USB ports on the sleek center console. A number of active and passive safety systems are offered, including HUD, which competes with some luxury cars.

Ford Mustang Mach-E 2022

The best mid-size electric cars.Ford is new to the dedicated EV platform game with the Mustang Mach-E, but it’s a surprising result. Despite its controversial name, the Mach-E offers a good range, ample interior space and excellent driving dynamics in a practical package that has 29 cubic feet of cargo space with all seats up.

The Mach-E is currently available in several flavors. Warmer (and more expensive) versions of the GT are offered, but even the base model is fun to drive and worthy of its Mustang badge. With 290 horsepower with rear-wheel drive transmission or 346 horsepower with all-wheel drive transmission, the Mach-E takes off the road easily. The chassis is great, and it’s nice to be in the cockpit. The Mach-E is one of the best all-electric cars out there.

Porsche Taycan 2022

The best full-size electric car. On paper, the Porsche Taycan is a difficult sale. It’s expensive (after all, it’s a Porsche), and its mileage is just bad. Driving the Daikon tells a completely different story, and we’re pretty sure it’s the best electric car you can buy right now. Its actual range is more than adequate for everyone except long journeys, and its build quality and driving dynamics are impeccable. Currently, the official range you can reach with the Taycan is 227 miles in 4S trim with the Performance Battery option. Although this is quite accurate in the real world, it is too much for most people on most days. Even the basic Taycan offers a 400-horsepower driving experience that surpasses any other electric car currently on sale.

Audi RS e-tron GT 2022

The best second place for a full-size electric car. Just because the RS E-Tron GT rides on the same platform as the Porsche Taycan doesn’t mean they are copies of each other. In Overboost mode, the RS E-Tron GT emits an impressive 637 horsepower and 612 lb-ft of torque, enough to sprint to 60 mph in just 3 seconds. It may sound dramatic, but Audi has created such elegance in this car that it always feels cool and quiet. Like the Tygon, the RS E-Tron GT isn’t cheap, but you really get the value of your money.

2022 GMC Hummer EV

Super big electric car. Do you want to be big and responsible? Well, there is no electric vehicle that matches that description as well as the GMC Hummer EV. So far we’ve only been driving the Hummer EV for a short time, but what we’ve experienced has left us with fond memories. In Watts to Freedom, or WTF mode, the acceleration is impressive for something that flips the scales by well over 9,000 pounds. Considering the size of the building, this can be confusing. It’s pretty expensive right now, with 1st Edition models asking for $ 113,000, but if you wait until 2024, you can take the lower trim for about $ 80,000.

Hyundai Kona Electric 2022

The best cheap electric car. Many people, when buying their first electric car, are looking for something affordable. Although electric cars have not yet reached the same prices as combustion engines, there are some excellent examples priced up to $ 50,000. Our favorite is the Hyundai Kona Electric. We chose Kona because it has a wide range, practical SUV-style body and excellent warranty. The Kona Electric offers a 258-mile range and a 201-horsepower engine, all of which should suffice for most families. It has a decent cargo space — 19.2 cubic feet with all the seats in place — and, being a Hyundai, it comes with a lot of standard amenities. Don’t even start talking about the warranty. If you can live that lifestyle (we love it) and can spend enough money, the Kona is a damn good first EV.

Volkswagen ID 4 2022

The best cheap electric car. The Volkswagen ID4 isn’t as affordable as the Hyundai Kona Electric, but with a starting price not far behind, the ID4 makes a strong case for itself.

VW ID 4 looks good as a crossover, with interesting shapes on the sides. The interior is traditional Volkswagen, simple in this respect, but there is a lot of storage and the overall design is pleasing. You can get it by all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive to maintain affordability. The technology may be a bit funny, but the ID4 is an affordable electric car.

Mercedes-Benz EQS 2022

The ultimate luxury electric car. After our first drive in the Mercedes EQS, we knew this Mercedes would be a winner among buyers. After another sitting, we left with the same opinion, and that probably won’t change forever.

The Mercedes-Benz EQS is an amazing electric luxury car. This car takes all the comfort of the gas-powered S-Class and gives it electric power. Even in the trim EQS450 Plus, there’s a lot of acceleration at push and you don’t mind stubborn curves – the upcoming AMG variant offers a more down-to-earth version than the stock. In addition, there is HyperScreen technology throughout the panel that must be viewed to be viewed.
