A large number of Russians are still not ready to enter the space of digital assets. Many of them do not even suspect the existence of crypto or digital assets, which is quite surprising. The knowledge gap is quite important because these coins have things that can be used in global transactions and other activities. So, the shocking fact is that about 72% of Russians still do not own bitcoins.
It also shows that despite the sanctions imposed by the United States, Russia still has a low level of cryptocurrency adoption. The fear of using cryptocurrency to avoid sanctions was the opposite. Dangame recently conducted a survey in which about 2,100 people participated. It found that 72 percent of them did not buy any digital assets, including the very popular Bitcoin. These figures show that the willingness to invest in Russia is very low.
The survey shows that about 31% of them are ready to buy crypto tokens in the coming months. Another 30% indicated that they do not plan to invest in any cryptocurrency. Meanwhile, others said they are still not sure. Additionally, 46% of the respondents in this recent survey had a neutral attitude towards crypto assets, while another 46% rated crypto assets highly.
However, 9% of people opposed it. The main reason for the low level of adoption of digital assets in Russia is the general understanding of it. The survey found that only 6% have a good knowledge of digital currencies, while more than 80% only know about the term. This is the worst indicator for the country.
Most experts believe that the restrictions of Russian banks on foreign currency create problems mainly for citizens. Some people believe that these currencies or assets are used to transfer money out of their country and put it in other parts of the world, which is very strange.
